CERTIFIED AeroLEDs - SunSpot 36 HX Aircraft Landing Light w/pulse, 9-40V

The SunSpot Landing Light with Pulse 36 Series was twice voted TOP PICK in AV Consumer’s Review of LED Landing Lights. they said . . .” high-value combination of price and performance.” That sums up AeroLEDs LED lights. AeroLED’s SunSpot 36HX Landing Lights output more lumens, consume less power, are not as affected by vibration as traditional incandescent lamps, and come with a built-in pulse feature. The SunSpot Series outputs a more broad beam that better shows the color of objects. This is the LED advantage instead of the orange-red color temperature of a legacy incandescent light. With an output of 4,950 lumens and 65,000 candelas, you’ll have no trouble on the runway! This LED is rated to last over 30,000 hours in continuous operation. FAA, STC, and PMA certified with a 5-year warranty.

About AeroLEDs SunSpot 36 Series Lamps

AeroLEDs SunSpot 36 Certified LED landing and taxi lights consume less power, output more lumens (total light output), and are not affected by vibrations than incandescent bulbs. These attributes make the SunSpot ideal for experimental, certified, commercial, and military aircraft. The SunSpot series outputs a wider beam that illuminates an object's color due to the blue-green color temperature instead of “grayed” out images from the orange-red color temperature of an incandescent lamp. AeroLEDs offers several SunSpot 36 (PAR 36) drop-in replacement options that are PMA and STC certified.

LX vs. HX

The SunSpot 36 Series LX performs as a standard light with the constant “on” mode. The HX version includes an integrated Pulse or WigWag feature that greatly increases recognition in broad daylight and night operation to help avoid midair collisions. Additionally, while in the recognition mode, the SunSpot’s draw half the current. AeroLEDs recommends that the pilot switch to Pulse or WigWag after takeoff and remain in this mode throughout each flight. The SunSpot series lights are designed to be mounted in the Wingtips, leading-edge, cowling, or landing gear. If you have a PAR 36 ring mount, the SunSpot 36 series will fit your aircraft.
