General Aviation Aircraft In-Flight Ice Protection Fluid
The TKS ice protection system protects qualified general aviation aircraft from in-flight icing by pumping fluid through porous metal structures that form the leading edge of the wing. Propellers and tail surfaces can be similarly protected if necessary.
TKS 406B offers good ice protection capability with a freezing point below -76 degrees Fahrenheit (-60 degrees Celsius). TKS 406B is designed for use in cold concentrate form (as supplied) and is available in 2.5 gallon containers, 5 gallon containers, 55 gallon drums, and 275 gallon totes.
