About AeroLEDs SunSpot 46 Series Lamps

AeroLEDs SunSpot 46 LED landing and taxi lights consume less power, output more lumens (total light output), and are not affected by vibrations like incandescent bulbs. These attributes make the SunSpot ideal for experimental, certified, commercial, and military aircraft. The SunSpot series outputs a wider beam that illuminates an object's color due to the blue-green color temperature instead of “grayed” out images from an incandescent lamp's orange-red color temperature. The SunSpot 46-H version includes an integrated Pulse or WigWag feature that significantly increases recognition in broad daylight and night operations to avoid midair collisions. Additionally, while in the pulse or WigWag mode, the SunSpots draw half the current. AeroLEDs recommends that the pilot switch to Pulse or WigWag after takeoff and remain in this mode throughout each flight.
